Can I know a little about your company?
We are a family run business who have family values in mind. We aim to treat you in the same way as we would like to be treated when we take a holiday. We have been providing holiday apartments since 2004 and have many clients who stay with us regularly.
What happens if I can't take my vacation due to Covid 19?
On the day that you are due to start your holiday in one of our apartments, if you are unable to travel to Torrevieja due to Covid 19, whether that be one or more of your party is suffering from Covid 19, or there are travel restrictions in place, we will allow you to transfer your holiday to a later date (availability permitting), without losing any of the monies already paid to us.
Do I have to arrive and leave on Saturdays?
No. You can arrive on any day you like and stay as long as you like, availability permitting.
Do you arrange flights?
No, but here are some companies to try:
- Ryanair – ryanair.com
- easyJet – easyjet.com
- TUI – tui.co.uk
- TUI Ireland – tuiholidays.ie
- Cheapflights – cheapflights.co.uk
- TravelSupermarket – travelsupermarket.com
or search the likes of www.google.co.uk for “cheap flights” plus the name of your nearest airport. Remember that you can use either Alicante Aiport or Corvera Airport Murcia for Torrevieja.
Can you arrange Car Hire?
We don’t arrange it ourselves, but our representatives in Spain can do so if you really want, but your cheapest and easiest option is to book it yourself at www.carjet.co.uk or www.rhinocarhire.com – these are the companies we use whenever we want a car. www.recordrentacar.com has also been recommended. You should check what happens about fuel as some companies ask you to pay for a full tank on top of the hire charge. Remember that at Los Locos beach you don’t necessarily need a car as you are close to shops, restaurants and the town centre.
We’ve also published a post containing more hire car information, including routes to/from Torrevieja, benefits and FAQs: Torrevieja by Hire Car: Driving Routes & Best Days Out
Which Spanish airport should I use?
The nearest airports are Alicante Airport and Corvera Airport (Murcia), both are about 30 miles from Torrevieja. For airport transfers, we recommend Clydegrove Golf.
Can I get a bus from the airport to the apartment?
There are buses between Torrevieja and Alicante airport. You can find details of buses at Torrevieja Bus Details and Alicante-Torrevieja Airport Buses. You will have to make your own way between Torrevieja Bus station and the apartments, which is about 1 mile. The Torrevieja to La Mata bus passes the apartments.
Will I be able to watch English TV?
All of our apartments have a FreeSat system, providing most of the usual English TV channels. What’s on information can be found in the local free newspapers. However, exactly which channels are available is out of our control.
Do I need to bring my own sheets and towels?
Bed linen and towels (except beach towels) are provided. Linen and towels are changed weekly except on longer lets (15 days or more) when two sets are provided for self laundry (a washing machine and iron is provided). We also provide a Beach Towel Hire service.
What is in a Welcome Food Pack?
For just €20 we provide a Welcome Food Pack containing: milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, sugar, white/brown bread, butter/margarine, eggs, bacon, croissants, red/white wine, beer, cereal, cheese, ham and water. Alternate/extra contents available upon request.
Are your apartments suitable for wheelchair users?
Some more so than others. It depends whether the user has a mobility problem (and just needs a wheelchair for distances) or whether they are wheelchair bound. All of our Orbi Playa apartments are suitable for those who can still walk around an apartment, e.g. to get to the toilet. Doorway widths vary, but the narrowest is 670mm wide, with the apartment doorways being 770mm.
What do you mean by 'fully equipped for self-catering'?
All of our apartments are designed to be lived in, for months, if need be. Each one has a kitchen with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, glasses, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans for cooking and eating. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board, clothes airer and pegs for doing your own laundry. There is even a hairdryer with attachments.
Are the shops and restaurants open all year round?
As with most holiday destinations a number of shops and restaurants are seasonal, but Torrevieja is not just a seaside town, people live and work here all year round, so there are still a lot of shops and restaurants to choose from even in the middle of winter. From April to October just about everything is open, but at the end of October several of the Spanish establishments lock up until Spring. However, there are still plenty of restaurants, shops and even supermarkets within walking distance of the apartments. We supply details to all of our clients.
Do I have to pay for cleaning?
No. Cleaning is included in the price. The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned to Covid 19 standards before you arrive. However, there is a bucket, mop, dustpan and brush in each apartment should you need to use them during your stay.
How can I keep fit while on holiday?
Los Locos is flat so is good for walks and jogging. There is also a free keep fit session on the beach, most mornings between 11-12.
